Epson comes through again with another bestseller in the digital video projector market place with the Epson PowerLite 8350. The projector is a dream come true for hard core gamers, movie buffs and those that just love to soak in a movie or video in stunning 1080p clarity.
The Epson PowerLite 8350 comes with Epson’s remarkable D7 chip which can produce a stunning contrast ratio of 50,000:1. That means you will get the whitest whites and the blackest blacks noticeable to the human eye.
Epson has been in the projector market for years and has become one of the leaders. The Epson PowerLite 8350 is no exception to this. They have once again struck gold with a quality projector at an affordable price. We are talking about all the bells and whistles of a top of the line projector for under $1200 if you shop in the right place.
As far as LCD projectors go this one is probably better than the Epson 705 HD PowerLite Projector, however it also costs more. They are both great projectors and we actually recommend the 705 more because it is more affordable. However, if you have the budget then I would recommend the Epson PowerLite 8350.

Best Use of the Epson PowerLite 8350 Projector
We have reviewed other projectors that are versatile in that they can be used for personal use or business use. I would say that the Epson PowerLite 8350 is best used in a home entertainment function. Its pretty heavy and bigger than other models so it is not as convenient to haul around from presentation to presentation. You can still do it, but it isn’t recommended.
What to Buy With the Epson PowerLite 8350
If you are considering buying an Epson PowerLite 8350 then there are some other accessories you may want to look into getting. Since it is a somewhat stationary item you can look into getting a mount for the ceiling. These are great if you will be putting this into a media or home theater room. You will also want to get some HDMI cables if you do not already have some in order to connect your devices like gaming consoles, Blu-Ray players, etc to the Epson PowerLite 8350.
What People Like About the Epson PowerLite 8350
After wading through many reviews and comments by people that have bought the Epson PowerLite 8350 I have come up with a few things that people like about this projector.
They tend to like its flexibility in placement. In other words, you can mount it, but it is also great to be used in different locations easily without the need for mounting.
The brightness, or lumens, also is a favorite of many. Many state that it can substitute for a 60” flat panel even under certain bright situations. But, with the lights off it can become a monster of a screen. One user even said they project on a wall that isn’t white and the picture is still great.
Conclusion
If you have the budget and money is not as much a concern then I would recommend the projector to you. We tend to recommend the Epson 705 HD and the Optoma HD20 Projector a little more because people are so concerned about price and they are good projectors for their price. But, if have the money, then I would definitely recommend you look into getting the Epson PowerLite 8350.
