The Optoma PT100 PlayTime LED projector is only rated at 50 ANSI lumens. That means that it may not work well in conditions where there is a lot of light. So, if you are wanting to use the projector in an office environment with lots of windows then this may not be the projector for you. This isn’t the Optoma HD20 or Optoma HD66. It is meant to be portable and easy to use. So, it sacrifices some things in its small form factor.
While it is only 50 Lumens it is an LED light that has an estimated life of over 20,000 hours. So, that means you get a projector that is under $200 and you will probably never have to change the bulb in there. That means a smaller cost of of ownership.

The resolution on the Optoma PT100 PT100 PlayTime LED projector works natively at 854×480 (WVGA), Again, I understand it isn’t the top of the line resolution you get from projectors like the Optoma HD20 and Optoma HD66, but again that is not where this projector “shines”.

Pros: The Optoma PT100 PlayTime LED Projector is small and compact. It is easy to carry, and it is easy to set up. For its size it shows a great image in small or larger areas. Another great thing about the projector is it is great for someone who wants to have a projector without breaking the bank.
Cons: The Optoma PT100 PlayTime LED Projector is a little low in the lumen rating scale. You will not be using this to show videos on a massive screen in well-lit rooms. Also, the resolutions isn’t as good as other, more expensive projectors, but you have to realize that this is a portable projector and that is what you are buying.
