Using a projector with a computer is a popular application these days. In fact, projectors for computers have been popular for quite some time.
Originally projectors for computers were mainly used with the business user in mind. They were used to show presentations and other computer-generated files to an audience. However, with the popularity of digital entertainment like Netflix, DVDs and other electronic forms of entertainment, it has become more popular to use projectors with computers.

To review these projectors for computers we basically took the top selling projectors in Amazon that had the ability to connect to a computer. We then looked to see which ones were reviewed highly.
We also tried to consider the projectors first that had VGA connections since that is still the main form of connecting to a PC. More computers are shipping with HDMI ports and Apple uses it quite a bit. But, there are still many PCs that do not use that yet. We did however include the ViewSonic PJD5123 in our top 5 even though it only had HDMI inputs.
We decided that the Optoma HD20 Projector was the best projector for computers available. It has a high resolution and lumen rating as well. Furthermore, it is not too big to be able to be carried around for business presentations and similar duties.
